does anybody know of somewhere in this area where you can get an accurate body fat % reading? I have had the pinch test but depending on who does it the reading is different. I would like to break down my goals to a science as far as how many calories my body requires and just how much of my weight is lean muscle vs fat mass. I am instested in bodybulding and not just losing weight. |
UT can do a DEXA scan for you. This is one of the most accurate ways to learn about your body composition. I believe they now also do hydrostatic weighing (which is when they dunk you underwater to get your body comp.). It's a little pricy for the general public and they keep bank hours, but it's definitely worth it if you're looking to get accurate results! Here's the website if you want to learn more about it. http://www.edb.utexas.edu/fit/bodycompfit.php
