1. I am currently going through a chemotherapy treatment. My doctor tells me to eat so I can gain weight and to do light exercise. I can eat everything except food supplement and vitamins. What advise can you give me regarding nutrition and exercise besides walking?

I would agree with the first answer, that more info would be needed to make a better conclusion. My grandmother just finished chemo as well and to say the least I was not pleased with the doctors advice.."eat whatever you want!" So my grandmother takes that as drink coffee in the morning with nothing of nutrient value included. Then for lunch a bowl of ice cream (she says it has a bunch of calories and HE said that's what I need!) Make your doctor earn his money and ask him specfics of what you should be eating. Sory for the intense response but the doctors now a days are lacking in the follow through and customer care department. Get that info and i can give you some advice as well as the first person who gave you a response. Keep your head up and keep your eye on the prize!

God Bless

your chemotherapy regimen

hi roger,

i'm sorry but without more information, i don't think it's appropriate for me to make specific suggestions for you (especially given the severity of your current condition). i do provide one on one consultations where we review your entire health and drug history, the context of food in your life, your weight and health goals, and more. for more information on my consultations and free classes at whole foods, please visit my website at www.yourhealingdiet.com.

best,
