I am 30 years old. 5' 4" and 140 pounds. I want to lose 20 to 25 pounds as quickly as possible. I need a diet and exercise program that is effective. I am a busy single mother of two and I don't have a lot of time to waste. Any help for me out there?

chart your progress

Hi Amber! I'm not sure what your "quickly as possible" timeframe is, but remember that you get out what you put in. With that said, also remember that to keep the weight off you should lose it responsibly (no quick fixes!).

Set up a chart with how much you want to lose every 2 weeks and then setup your workout plan for 45-60 min each day for 6 days per week. Any other outside activities (like strolling or walking with the kids) is a bonus. Make sure you have your own uninterrupted time. Lastly, you'll have your nutrition plan that is realistic, yet strict enough to create the deficit of calories. And then you just have to stick to the plan you've created for yourself.

With a good plan, you can expect to lose about 8 lbs/month. Conquer the small goals because they all lead up to the big one! : ) Need help with your plan? That's where hiring a personal trainer can really help!

Quick Change

To reach your goals a few points have to be covered:

1. Consistency.
2. Hydrate.
3. Frequent small qualtiy meals (3-5/day).
4. Increase your workout intensity.
5. Increase the amount of time your are exercising.
6. When everything else is covered make sure you are resting enough to make each workout count.
