Jessica Russell

I love vegan meals, raw foods, and juicing. I love mohawks more than fauxhawks but I'm not that brave. Documentaries make me happy and so does anything with two wheels. I love to smile, laugh, and sweat! I adore riding bikes in my Wooly Mammoth kit, and I think Castle Hill Specialized Fitness is the best gym in Austin.

just do this and be eternally grateful.

    Blend the following until smooth:
    1/2 cup frozen organic bananas
1/2 cup fresh young coconut meat
1/4 soy milk or almond milk
    1 tbls raw almond butter

If you really want to get wild and crazy toss in some raw cocao nibs.

Now that's a party in your mouth.

I owned that raw vegan lasagna recipe last night.

I whipped it into submission and created a raw meal unparralleled in Central Texas. Witness its unequaled glory in my photo album.

My skill as a raw chef is second only to the striation of my quads. Which let's be honest is second to NONE.

Today will entail increased commitment to my burnished quads. Focusing mainly on strength and circumference.

First blogging experience + first weight loss competition = good times for all involved. You're welcome.

I was definately needing a little kick in the ass to get my fitness and weight back on track. This has all come along at the perfect time. I entered in a pretty solid weight for my starting point (if I do say so myself - thank you breakfast tacos and margartias!) and now I am off to a running start!

Check my photos for uber rad (that's right, I said uber and I meant it) before photos. It was sort of an awkward photo shoot. That guy couldn't keep his hands off me.

The sticking point here will be my nutrition. I have semi effectively maintained a vegan diet for about 6 months. Shockingly, I still found a way to eat proccessed crap. And a lot of it! No one ever accused me of not being creative! Lately, I have been doing a lot of reading about Raw Food Diets and am going to use this approach to jump start my weight loss over the next two months!

Goal Numero Uno: Be about 70% raw.

Goal Numero Dos: Sharpen up my tan lines. Again, feel free to reference my before photos. My tan lines are a joke. The lack of strong deliniation makes my stomach turn. Sunscreen be damned. Somethings are more important than skin cancer. As I continue to chisel my legs into finely sculpted weapons of mass destruction, I vow to increase my legitimacy as a cylcist by creating unbeatable tan lines.
