I did my final weigh in today and, although I was shooting for a lower weight, I know I have progressed at a good pace.
Thanks, FitCapital! This competition was great!
Today's weigh-in is accurate as far as my scale reads. I'm hoping for one more pound loss before weighing in tomorrow. Today is a late day at work and that sometimes means not enough sleep with tomorrow being an early day rising.
I was upset enough that I had gained a pound but then I mis-entered my weight for today (wishful thinking). I'll enter the correct amount tomorrow.
I am sticking with my eating plan but have noticed that TV food commercials are "beckoning" me more and more (especially the ones for burgers) so I hope to distract myself by keeping up my exercising (which I have slightly neglected lately) as we head into the last lap.
Good sense reminder...full day's work, 30-minute walk outside around noon, donate blood, a couple more of hours working at a free lance business, with reduced calorie intake = asking too much of the body. So "balance," again, becomes an important principle.
This last stretch of competition days feels to be exhausting as well as exciting...just trying to "keep on keepin' on."
So now I'm noticing that some exercise after dinner seems to be helping with over weight loss. I've got to keep it minimal so that I can sleep later though.
So now I'm experiencing not getting the same results from the same diet and exercise. Guess that means I have to "shake it up" a bit and do more or less on each. Man!
I have not been getting enough sleep lately and I think that affects how much weight I can drop during a week. Who is that guy that drops 20 pounds a night? I want some of what he's having!
I seem to be in another slump because I've been consuming the same or less and staying at the same weight. I haven't been getting my full hour's worth of exercise in a day so that could be the culprit.
I had little success with exercising and eating over my long weekend. Hope I can get my momentum back up.
Taking a couple of days off from work to do some things around the house. Hope I can keep the structure of my dieting and exercise day.
The rain was good for the earth and to renew our spirits! I am making slow but steady progress. I keep reminding myself that I'm getting in shape for backpacking in Ireland in September. Any suggestions about places to visit or things to do?
Weekend was relatively good in that I got some exercising done and counted calories successfully. Hope to continue during the week!
I am really tired from a rough work week. I'll aim to get lots of rest but try to get in some exercise.
Yes! Finally! Dropped a pound! That was a long wait and now to work on the next one!
...feeling frustrated because of not losing weight for a week...still working on it...
I have been falling short of my goals but am still working on them. It is disheartening when my weight stays the same for a week.
This heat is zapping my enthusiasm but I do have a good deal of stubbornness which I hope to enlist to follow through. Pounds are not coming off!
I seem to be doing the same things I was doing with lesser/slower results. I'm going to try more veggies and see if that works.
...trudging along with 1,200 or less calories a day and 1 hour of moderate exercise. This week I will work on getting more veggies in my diet.
I seem to have hit a plateau of sorts so I'll have to revisit calorie intake again and exercise level.
Yea! I made it through the weekend with few stumbling blocks. That's a first. Now to hit my exercise goals and my calorie count goals for the week!
This heat makes it hard to keep up with walking so I'm cutting back and trying to suppliment that with indoor exercise. Holding to my eating plan is usually most difficult during the weekend and this weekend we are celebrating birthdays!
These eating and exercise changes are becoming routine and are easier to accomplish during the work week. Limiting amounts I eat is not so hard when I focus on getting the most taste out of the smallest bite. The test will be the weekend!
I am back to my best weight since before the weekend and refocusing on counting calories and exercise minutes.
My emphasis has been on moving while watching my food intakes but I go to see my dad (the Delicious BBQ King) for Father's Day so intakes will be problematic. Guess I'll concentrate on keeping moving...now to find that pedometer.
Tough day...political turmoil at work...goodbye to a friend...did not get the full hour of exercise but... today is another day!
I've worked my way up to exercising an hour a day resulting in soreness but a feeling of accomplishment!
