New to BCO? Or an old-timer? Either way, this dinner is for you! Newbies come and meet other members, ask questions and learn the ins and outs of BCO. Oldies (and we mean that with all the love in the world) come and share all your knowledge of BCO and visit with other members. There is counter service, so order at will. BCO will be providing beer & wine!
Spread some Holiday Cheer with BCO! If you joined recently, or just want to meet a great group, please come join us at the very tucked away and cool – Sherlock’s Pub
Hiking is great exercise, and you don’t have to drive outside of the city to find great trails. There are flat trails, hills, woods and water on this hike along a section of Houston’s Buffalo Bayou. We will maintain an easy to moderate pace, with snack & water stops (bring your own), bat viewing and art & sculpture viewing.
Toss on your antlers or Santa Hats and join BCO on a fun ride around town just in time for the Holidays! We have several Farmer Markets right here in the middle of the city, which bring in local organic produce every Saturday. Bring your backpack to carry what you purchase, and let's shop the markets on our bikes!
We are combining our two monthly events for November, and going back to one of our neighborhood favorites in the Heights! Come out and meet everyone!
If you plan on being a part of the BCO MS-150 Team, plan on training in the BCO training series, or plan on being a part of the BCO Road Riding Team, plan on attending!! We'll get you signed up and give you the information that you will need. Or if you just want to have a drink and hear about the upcoming rides, please join us!!
Once you have mastered the basics of camping and hiking, the next step is backpacking! Imagine, after a day of hiking through forests, you get to relax in a remote campsite using only what you have brought in your backpack! Backpacking really is the ultimate way to get outside! Sound too difficult? It won''t be once you learn the basics in Backpacking 101.
BCO & REI's fall series: "How to Get into the Outdoor Life"
Take the guesswork out of triathlon training and racing. Triathlon 101 will give you the basics and show you how to: design your own triathlon training calendar, choose the proper equipment, fueling tips, swimming and open water tips, transition tips, and how to taper your training when needed. Save yourself from trial-and-error experiences that discourage many from the sport. |
