Low Intensity cardiovascular exercise (cardio) (60% to 65% of your maximum heart rate [MHR]) burns fewer total calories but utilizes a higher percentage of fat calories than high intensity cardio. High Intensity Cardio (80% to 85% of your MHR) utilizes more total calories in less time.
