weight loss
How much weight is feasible, or safe to lose within an eight week period? Re: Weight Loss BasicsSubmitted by Sandra1351236257 on Tue, 06/09/2009 - 8:44am.
Thanks that is helpful. I didn't want to be setting unrealistic goals for myself, since that might cause me to give up. Knowing this now gives me something to work towards and compare my weight loss with because I AM going to lose weight. |
Weight Loss Basics
That is a very good question. By following a balanced fitness program including cardiovascular exercise, resistance-training sound nutritional choices, and rest, average weight loss can be 1 to 2 lbs per week in an eight week period. For example: If looking at nutrition alone, a decrease of 250 calories per day will equal to .5 pounds of fat loss. Add 250 calories of additional daily exercise (about 60min.) and this will give you a total of 1lb of fat loss per week.
