I wake up very early (5:15 am) everyday and don't pack a lunch because I like being able to leave the office for an hour everyday. I am trying to lose weight and I know that diet/nutrition is key. I usually like to sit down for a meal but restaurant choices are limited (Chili's, Black Eyed Pea, etc). What do you recommend to eat at restaurants like these that won't hurt my diet? Please help!


Eating Out

The best you can do is pack the lunch and perhaps eat away from work in one of our beautiful tree filled parks. If you have to eat at one of these restaurants stick with the salads and vegetables, and male sure there are no ‘extras’ like bacon, cheese, or creamy dressings. These are hidden calories that can be requested as a side dish so you can monitor the portion. Complimented your salad with some baked, boiled, or broiled meat, chicken, or fish for some leaner meat. Also small snacks like fresh fruit or pre-measured nuts can curb your lunchtime appetite.
